My 2014 Life Album

This year I can't call my album, my Project Life album, as it's a mix of Project Life, Project Real Life, One Little Word and traditional scrapbooking. I've chosen the Honey edition of Project Life to start with.
Title Page

I chose this Honey album - there are two that coordinate with the
Honey edition Project Life cards

In the past I've done very little journaling in my
Project Life albums so this year I'm hoping to
change it

Rather than using a separate album for One Little Word as I
have done for the last 4 years, this year it's part of my
2014Life  album

Journaling on this and the next page goes along with One Little Word

This page and the next are part of the Project Real Life class I took
2-3 years ago

It's just my husband, our pets and me at home so I don't
have as many photos as younger families do

A page in progress - I use post-it notes
to remind myself what I need for a space or
what I want to put there

I'm trying to be very flexible in my 2014 Life album this year.  So far there's not as much focus on photos as there is on my journaling.  There's more about what I'm thinking and feeling.  A lot about my intentions and what I would like to accomplish this year.  I'm trying to use what I'm putting in my album to drive those intentions and accomplishments. (I hope that makes sense)
I purchased the Midnight edition of Project Life today and will be mixing some of those cards in with the Honey set.  I also have Close To My Heart's Picture My Life Balloon Ride set that I'll be using - I'm still figuring out how I want to use that set.
And thanks to my Big Picture Classes' friend, Melissa, I'm trying to have more FUN with my album - and my life!
What changes have you made in your scrapbooking, crafting or art this year?

  1. Hello!

So I just found your blog through the Project Lifers page on FB that we both follow and I ABSOLUTELY love what you shared in this post. Its so inspiring! I am new to Project Life and I love how you combined everything into one album. What is One Little Word about? I've heard people mention it, but have no idea what its actually about. Haha. Also- what is Project Real Life? I am starting with a small album for this year simply because I wasn't sure I would be able to fill an entire 12X12 album. And I've only made the plans for it, due to moving, I haven't actually put things together. I hope to real soon though.

New follower to your blog! My craft blog, if you're interested, is jlmccrafts.blogspot.com

    1. Jenn,
Thank you for your kind words! This is the third time I've tried to reply so hopefully threes the charm! One Little Word started as a Big Picture Classes online workshop taught by Ali Edwards. The idea is that you choose a word that invites something you want more of in your life. In the past I've chosen joy, seek, illuminate and this year I chose THRIVE. Each month Ali gives you a project to complete that helps you learn more about your word such as a vision board, setting intentions, etc. Each year she changes it up a little. In 2014, Ali is hosting the workshop on her website here:

Project Real Life is another class at Big Picture Classes. Go here:

Registration for Project Real Life is closed but I strongly suggest that you sign up for a free membership at Big Picture Classes. There are a lot of online classes but there are also free activities there too. There is also a Project Life Community there. Will be checking out your blog soon.
